Je veux le même...en miniature!

On "craque" parfois pour certains objets miniatures, tout simplement parce qu'il sont la réplique d'un objet grandeur nature que nous aimons particulièrement.

Alors on se dit - "je veux le même... en miniature!"

I want the same...in miniature!

One sometimes « melts » for some small objects just because they are the exact replicas of objets we particularly like. Then one says to oneself : « I want the same… in small !». The coming pictures illustrate what I have just said.

Il y a longtemps déjà, j'ai trouvé une théière "cottage" dans une brocante à Bruxelles.
J'ai trouvé le sucrier assorti chez un antiquaire en Ecosse, cet hiver.
Il ne me manque plus que le pot à lait....
Par contre, j'ai trouvé un set complet, en miniature bien sûr, chez Véronique Cornish.

A long time ago, I found a teapot in the form of a cottage in a second-hand market in Brussels. Last winter I discovered the matching sugar pot in an antique shop in Scotland. What is now missing is the milk pot…What I bought from Véronique Cornish is a complete tea-set in miniature of course.

Le grand appartenait à ma grand-mère, j'ai trouvé le petit dans un catalogue
de miniatures américain.

I don’t know the name of this kitchen utensil used to make stiffly beaten egg whites but the big one belonged to my grandmother and I discovered the small one in an American catalogue for miniaturists.

Et ceci, est une adorable théière achetée à Honfleur.
Je cherche encore l'artisan qui pourra me la réaliser en miniature...
